Canon A610 camera
This camera is much nicer than my A550 even though it's on 5 megapixel instead of a 7.1 megapixel. The A620 is the same camera with 7.1 megapixels.
It has a totally manual mode which includes true manual focusing, manual aperture adjustment and manual shutter speed adjustment. Even better, you can get all of your settings just the way you want them, save the settings and when you enter Custom Mode the settings are all there. I set it up for Fast Frame, Manual Focus set at infinity, 1/500 shutter speed and f2.8 aperture. Even better, pressing the left and right buttons changes the shutter speed. The only thing I can think of that I'd like it to do that it doesn't do already is to be able to change the shutter speed while I'm running the script to take photos in fast frame mode until I sop it. Oh, the ASA maxes out at 400, but I found that 400 is about the max I'd want to use anyway.
One other thing I found different than the A550. In this camera the LCD darkens and lightens to reflect the exposure. I think this will make it easier to predict what a given exposure will look like before I take the picture.
I look forward to clear skies so I can try this camera out.
